Here at Instabamm we are not huge fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, nor really any other superhero-orientated big screen offerings – with maybe the exception of Watchmen, Blade (only the first one) and the original Superman films with Christoper Reeve. With so many clickbait sites just doing superhero stuff, and supehero films being released weekly, we are more about actual cinema, and just what’s cool.
Don’t get us wrong, we love superheroes. It’s just that good superhero flicks are few and far between.
Speaking again of cool, Venom does look pretty darn cool.
More info on it soon (full article) – but for now, just a basic synopsis below.
Venom is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is intended to be the first film in Sony’s Marvel Universe, adjunct to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer from a screenplay by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, Kelly Marcel, and Will Beall, and stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, and Reid Scott. In Venom, journalist Brock is bound to an alien symbiote that gives him superpowers.
